Lead Coach and Assistant Director
Suzanne Matthews is the Lead Coach and Assistant Director of MSFCP (Money Smart Financial Coaching Program), which supports financial coaching programs at two and four-year colleges across the nation. Until 2023, she served as the Director of the Center for Financial and Economic Education at Westchester Community College, where she led development of personal finance initiatives for the campus community, as well as the Money Smart Financial Coaching Program. As an educator and consultant, she has worked with several institutions, nonprofit organizations, and government entities to provide curriculum development, training, and educational workshops. Her professional background includes over 25 years in the financial services industry, working in corporate finance and investment banking at HSBC Securities and Bank of America, where she was a Managing Director.
Suzanne holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia University, an M.A. from the University of Wisconsin, and a B.A. from the University of Michigan. She currently serves on the Leadership Board of the Financial Women’s Association of New York and is Co-chair of FWA’s Financial Backpack, a financial literacy program for teens and young adults.
