Shamika is a hard working student majoring in Health Studies with the goal of getting into the Nursing Program. Her short term goals are to become financially responsible and to learn to spend less and save more. Her long term goals are to fix her credit to 800 and to buy a home within the next two to five years. After completing the MSFCP, she increased her savings account with the money management skills she has learned within the program and increased her credit score by 15 points so far. Her most valuable lesson to date has been spending within her means, learning that even though you may have the money, it’s not best to spend right away and learning more about retirement matching with her employers.
